ZEISS LSM 880 with Airyscan: Fast mode 2-photon calcium imaging of live Zebrafish embryo

May 3, 2016
Embryonic Zebrafish spinal cord 2-photon calcium imaging. Observation of neural activity while reserving the visible spectrum for targeted photostimulation of endogenous photoreceptors. At these early ages, the spinal cord is curved and it is impossible to get a single optical section containing all active cell types. 2p volumetric imaging allows to sample activity in cell types at different positions along the dorsal-ventral axis, while still imaging from both the left and right sides of the spinal cord. http://www.zeiss.com/lsm880 Sample courtesy of Drew Friedmann, Universtity of California Berkeley.
