The eight Microscopy Customer Centers
Bay Area Customer Center, USA
Pleasanton, a city to the east of San Francisco in California, is the site of the ZEISS production plant and, until recently, a Customer Center with X-ray microscopes only. It now includes light, ion, electron and X-ray microscopes and future plans to add the MultiSEM. This newly expanded center will be capable of basic and advanced imaging of materials and biological samples, and will have a special focus on the semiconductor industry. In addition to demos, the Bay Area Customer Center holds workshops throughout the year.
New York Customer Center, USA
The ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center in New York is situated north of New York City. Its broad portfolio of light, electron, and soon X-ray microscopes enables basic and advanced imaging of materials and biological samples. The lab is fully equipped for wet chemistry as well as many other sample preparation requirements, including high-resolution coaters, polishers and tissue culture for live cells. In addition to product demos, training and user meetings take place here throughout the year.
Boston Customer Center, USA
The ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center in Boston is just north of the city and shares the facility with the production site of the Microscopy Innovation Center. This lab focuses on ion microscope solutions for advanced nanofabrication and imaging of materials samples. In addition to demos, this location holds workshops throughout the year.
Cambridge Customer Center, UK
The ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center in Cambridge, located northwest of London, is housed adjacent to the production site of our CSEM and FESEM portfolio. This lab primarily focuses on process-specific technologies using electron microscope and specialized solutions to analyze the elemental composition of particles for our mining and industrial customers.
Europe Customer Center, Germany
Newly opened in April 2017, the Europe Customer Center in Oberkochen is close to Group Headquarters and offers not only a currently unique and extensive range of light, electron and X-ray microscopes, but also many other benefits to the customer. Visits to the Customer Center can be combined with a tour of the production area or the ZEISS Museum of Optics, or customers can meet up with staff from Product Management, Development or Management.
Shanghai Customer Center, China
Located in the Pilot Free Trade Zone of Shanghai and home to the China SSC HQ, this primary Customer Center supports China and all APAC with a convenient and impressive ZEISS experience. Adjacent Meditec, Vision and IMT Customer Centers complement all visitors and step up exposure to the ZEISS brand. The Center serves Industrial and Academic customers
with state-of-the-art light, electron/ion and X-ray microscopes, so they can choose the best technology for their application.
Beijing Customer Center, China
Located in the center of a major concentration of prestigious Beijing academic institutions, the Customer Center Beijing is strategically wellpositioned to perform customer demos, training and support for X-ray microscopes.
Tokyo Customer Center, Japan
The ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center in Tokyo shares space with the Japan MIC headquarters. With a team of highly skilled specialists and a portfolio that includes light, electron and X-ray microscopes, it serves industrial and academic customers. The ZEISS labs@location Partner Program
In addition to the eight ZEISS Microscopy Customer Centers, there is also the ZEISS labs@location Partner Program, a community of important ZEISS customers originally launched in Europe and now being expanded globally. The program supplements the Customer Centers and is part of a leading research facility. The network‘s application expertise is a unique source of knowledge that helps other customers to implement new technologies in their labs. “The program allows us to perform demonstrations, sample preparation training and workshops with our key customers when more specialized knowledge and equipment are required, or the customer is unable to travel to our Customer Centers,” Kirk Czymmek emphasizes.
The most recent partner to join the ZEISS labs@location Partner Program is Salk’s Waitt Advanced Biophotonics Center in San Diego, California. This is one of the first steps in expanding the successful network program from Europe to the US.
